Fire Safety at Construction Sites
The Health and Safety Executive have published guidance on fire safety at constructions sites which can be found in HSG168 : "Fire safety in construction - Guidance for clients, designers and those managing and carrying out construction work involving significant fire risks"The guidance explains how everyone involved in construction projects can comply with their legal duties relating to fire risks.
Divided into three sections, there are chapters on Fire Risk Assessment, Fire Precautions and Enforcement responsibilities. Four Appendices deal with "Temporary accommodation units", Sleeping accommodation, a Summary of basic precautions for all sites and additional precautions for higher risk sites and finall a "Who does what?" summary of responsibilities.
