Our lawyers appreciate that Health and Safety is of paramount importance to companies and that the implications of a health and safety failing can be devastating. We represent employees, managers and directors who may be faced with an investigation or enforcement action.
Often, such investigations are the result of an incident or an injury. We can assist with an initial response to an incident, the internal investigation and liaise with any enforcement agencies. As someone who is outside of your organisation, we can act in a independent manner if you need to interview staff or maintain transparency in your investigations.
Because we have an in-house Health and Safety Practitioner, we are able to deal with both practical and legal aspects of health and safety. We also work with specialists in particular fields of health and safety to ensure you obtain the advice that you need.
Our lead lawyer, Jon Payne, was one of the first lawyers – if not the first – to be registered with the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (‘OSHCR’) and is also a member of the Health & Safety Lawyers Association, IOSH and the CIEH.
Although personal injury claims can be related to health and safety issues, we regret that we are unable to represent potential clients who may be considering a claim. Our expertise is in regulatory safety enforcement, which is itself a specialist subject. Where a safety investigation involves a personal injury claim, we work with other specialist lawyers as needed.
