Jon Payne

Jon's career has seen him working in a food, fire and safety enforcement capacity with a number of local authorities, where he was involved in a number of initiatives, including the formation of the Southern Health and Safety Executive - Local Authority liaison group. He also spent a considerable period of time in the fire service.
His academic qualifications include a degree in Environmetal Health, a diploma in Health & Safety and a lead auditor's certificate. He is a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner, registered with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health as well as being listed on the OSHCR. As member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, he is able to provide clients with a wide experience in these areas of work. He is a dual-qualified barrister and solicitor, but please note that instructions can only be accepted for him in the latter capacity as it is not permitted under current rules to practice in both capacities.
Through Central Law Training and e3e ltd, Jon delivers seminars on food, fire and health & safety both at an an introductory and advanced level, as well as providing an update on developments.
In his spare time Jon enjoys sailing, diving, flying and travelling and is the leader of a cub scout group.
